      Entrevista

Interviewed with them and they told me that they purposely were ambiguous about what their company actually did. That was the first red flag. Then I reviewed the type of recruiters they hired as well as the person interviewing me. They had no recruiting experience at all prior to their job there. The whole thing was shady and after reading reviews of the company I came to realize they are not a company that I would ever want to work for. Just odd all the way around. The fact they had me take an intelligence test that was based on identifying patterns be they mathematical equations or geometrical this was all a waste of my time. I usually don't do these at all but I thought what the heck and it was really a waste of any ones time.

      Entrevista

I received an email from a recruiter on Tuesday asking to set up a time to have a conversation over the phone regarding a recruiting position. Later that day we chatted for about 10-15 minutes in order to see if I may be a good candidate for the position. From there we set up a FaceTime Interview for the following Tuesday. She was very pleasant, asked the normal interview questions, and if I’d complete a case study. Once she received my case study, we set up an in person interview at the Denver office. Upon arrival I was greeted, and offered water. I was put in a room with only a table in it that looked out to their office. Within 2 minutes the same girl came back in to interview me first. She was very nice, and asked me traditional interview questions. After we were done speaking, another girl came in to speak with me. She asked me the same set of questions, and was also very pleasant to chat with. The final interview was with a guy who had kept me waiting for 10 minutes at least, and when he finally came to meet with me seemed unenthused. I stood to shake his hand, and it almost seemed as if he did not want to shake my hand. From there he asked me traditional questions, but then couldn’t stray far from how long it took me to get through college. In a condescending tone he asked “well why could everyone else finish in 4 years?”. I responded politely and said that I had always worked 1-3 jobs to support myself, as well as I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do when I began attending college. He was not impressed and jotted down some notes, it was at this point I could tell I was no longer in the running for the position. However, continued with the interview for about another 15 minutes or so. The remainder of the interview consisted of him asking me to solve a math problem (but would not give me paper to solve, or let me see the equation after he verbally asked me), and picking apart my resume. He told me “not to be lazy” because a job date was not pushed all the way to the right of the page, and my major was not bolded. He found no grammatical or spelling issues, just those two errors. He seemed appalled that I only kept my resume to one page, and said “it’d be smart to take of my college begin date off” my resume. This was by far THE WORST interview I have ever had. To speak to someone that way in an interview seems extremely unprofessional, and unnecessary. I came prepared, on time, and was very professional while he did everything he could to make me feel lesser than him. Even if I had been offered the position, I would never work for someone who thought their time was so much more valuable than anyone beneath them. A complete red flag regarding how he probably treats his employees. I feel bad for those who work underneath him, and quite frankly confused how someone so rude works for a recruiting company.
