Candidatei-me online. O processo levou 1 semana. Fui entrevistado pela BuzzFeed em abr. de 2015
Entrevista
I think these interview reviews sometimes come across as bitter candidates who didn't get the job sounding off, but this perceived "bitterness" is more so based on treatment of said candidates, as opposed to them being passed up for the position.
There's a polite way to say, "we've gone in a different direction."
Silence and the deafening sound of crickets isn't it. BuzzFeed deals in silence. They are loathe to get back to you even after stating they will.
Needless to say, I had an unprofessional experience altogether.
In fact, after the initial phone interview I was told by my interviewer to reach out if I haven't heard anything after a few days since it would be a long hiring process and they would be busy. I did exactly as I was told to no avail.
I received no response to my follow-ups despite being told to do just that, follow up. This is inconsiderate behavior for a business already under scrutiny for their "journalism ethics."
Important to note, the phone interview went well with plans for additional conversations and an eventual in-person interview. At least that's what I was told after I was given a homework assignment. Again, no response. Silence. Crickets.
First round was background related and interest in job. Then completed a task and after had another interview with higher staff. This was competency based questions, then decision was made

why BuzzFeed? what do you know about BuzzFeed tone of voice what changes would you make?
easy, straightforward. it was just a preliminary interview and the interviewer seemed a bit all over the place, but only basic questions were asked and it wasn't difficult. She was very nice and conversational.

Pretty straightforward, although they asked how I stay organized, which was an annoying question, as I've never met someone in editorial who was organized lol. They were also toward the end of their interview process, which means they were probably already planning to hire someone else by the time they recruited me.
