I applied online and completed an initial phone screening with a recruiter, after which I was invited to interview with the hiring manager. Following that, I went through two additional rounds of hour-long interviews with senior leaders, ultimately reaching the finalist interview.
After the finalist round, I was told things were looking very positive. I was asked to reconfirm my salary expectations (which were within the stated range) and was also asked to provide references.
Despite this, weeks passed with no update. After several follow-ups, I was eventually told that the position had been closed and would not be filled “right now,” with the hope that it might reopen in the future. Months later, after checking in again, I learned CAQH was no longer using the recruiting firm and hiring had moved internally. I was provided an HR contact who confirmed there were no plans or intention to reopen the role.
Overall, the process lasted months and involved five rounds of interviews, only for the role to be abruptly closed with no clear plan to proceed. The lack of transparency and follow-through was extremely frustrating and felt like a disregard for the time and energy invested throughout the process. Based on my experience, I would not recommend CAQH’s hiring process.
