My experience with Casio as a potential employer was incredibly disappointing and unprofessional. After applying for the Project Manager role and successfully passing the initial online interview, I was invited for a second-round onsite interview in Hamburg. Considering the significant distance and expenses involved, I committed to the interview, booking train tickets and accommodation. The onsite interview itself went well, and I felt positive about my prospects with the company. However, what followed was a complete lack of communication and respect. Despite assurances of being willing to relocate, Casio decided to ghost me for an extended period. Multiple follow-up emails went unanswered until I finally received a rejection email via LinkedIn. The reasoning provided—that relocating to Hamburg could pose uncertainty—was not only contradictory to their previous actions but also seemed like an afterthought. What baffles me the most is why Casio insisted on an onsite interview if relocation was such a concern. They could have easily conducted the interview online, sparing both parties unnecessary hassle and expenses. Moreover, the company's failure to reimburse any of the costs associated with the onsite interview, despite knowing my unemployed status, reflects a complete disregard for basic decency and fairness. Overall, my experience with Casio left a bitter taste in my mouth. Not only did they waste my time and resources, but they also displayed a lack of integrity and professionalism throughout the hiring process. As a potential candidate, I would caution others to approach opportunities with Casio, given their apparent disregard for candidate well-being and respect.
