Went in for open interviews. Even though I had already printed and filled out an application, they still had a lot of paperwork for me to fill out. A lot of morality questions regarding developmental disabilities. They also had me look at a binder full of job descriptions, policies, and other information and sign off on my understanding. Not sure, but I think they check your driver's license standing before they even grant you an interview. I heard the receptionist rattle off my info to someone on the phone as I was waiting. The interview was pretty generic. After the interviewer determined me to be competent, she showed me a listing of available positions with the location and shift so I could pick the one I liked. Then, right then and there she called the manager of the house to set up my second interview directly. I believe I went in to that interview later in the week. When I showed up, the house manager gave me a tour of the residence and introduced me to the individuals. Make sure you greet every one of them as this shows you are comfortable with the population. The manager wants to see how you interact with the individuals. Afterwards, the manager talked to me about the job duties and specific obligations to that house. Less than a week later the manager called me and offered me the job. Of course it wasn't official until I went in to talk with someone from HR so they could set up my fingerprinting and physical appointments (including a drug test and TB screening.)
