I spent countless hours putting together a presentation, taking personality tests, and going through several rounds of interviews and meetings, three of which were with the hiring manager. They also reached out to four of my references for feedback. I also underwent a background check and was led to believe that an offer was imminent. All this only to be told I wasn’t ‘a good fit’ at the end. I know this happens with job searches, but it was crushing to come so late in the process after I put in so much energy. Fit should have been determined much earlier on, and I have only myself to blame for trusting their process. I hope this doesn’t happen to you. This should not happen to any candidate.
