At CERN interviews are very old style.
The final stage of the interview is with the board of the department who's hiring you. They just make HR questions like "Why you want to join this team?" and you must answer in a way that highlights your skills and at the same time praises CERN and its mission.
Don't stop talking, apparently answering straight to an answer is not enough, just keep argumenting or jump to something else.

A very relaxed interview with two interviewers present. With them firstly asking you to describe yourself, then having you answer some coding questions. Followed up with the opportunity for you to ask questions.

Entrevista
My recruitment process for an Early Career position has been a great experience so far. The interview is more conversational and human than it can be in other places. It feels like there is real curiosity to know applicants, their experiences and interests, and to share about life at CERN, which I really appreciated. The process is also very respectful of candidates' time, since it tends to be quite fast, with just one interview. Everyone I have been in contact with so far has been very nice and responsive.

1. Technical test
HackerRank (9 questions, 60 min)
2. Remote video screening
25 minutes with 3 interviewers (section leaders and senior engineers).
Basic questions and one technical question about the previous technical test.
3. Final interview
* 45 minutes panel interview of 4 interviewers (recruiter, section leaders, and senior engineers)
Required to prepare a 7 minutes presentation about career history and then answer behaviour questions from interviewers.
* 30 minutes team interview
Meet the team, brief introduction from both sides with Q&A.
Overall positive interview process followed by a job offer.
