They have the typical HR screening, followed by a peer, 2 leadership conversations, and a case study. However, for me, the process itself isn’t well designed, and the team (including recruiting) have a low investment approach towards candidates’ experience. They initiated the interview process with me but never answered the questions of what function or level I was interviewing for. Post partner conversation they requested a case study but didn’t provide detail on how the case will be evaluated (in absence of a presentation), or clarified questions to ground the case. In an environment where some companies disguise case study for free consulting, it’s critical to protect candidates’ IP and time investment from both sides. To request a candidate to complete a case when there’s no JD, or objective/evaluation criteria aligned to the case, the recruiting process is structureless and in some ways, without a regard for everyone’s time and effort.

Mostly standard behavioral questions but when you ask them what they do, it’s hard to get a clear picture of how their practice is organized nor how they go-to-market.

Entrevista
The interview process was excessively lengthy, in all took over 3 months from beginning to end.
Screening interview, (2) follow-up interviews with SM/Director level employees, one partner interview + case study submission.
I had a positive experience up until my final interview with the partner. There were numerous last minute interview cancellations without a proactive reach out that the partner would not be able to make it and needed to reschedule.
During my final interview, the partner did request I submit a case study despite expressing doubts about my direct fit with this particular role. I thought it was odd that I was asked to submit the case study but not present it, which makes me wonder if I was performing and providing project materials pro-bono on for one of their clients or prospective clients. If the partner had made the decision ahead of time, it would have made sense not to ask me to complete a case study.

Entrevista
Quick and relatively easy! Know the company. Culture and fit are a huge priority for CFGI. First round with a recruiter - then with person leaving - then team members and close acquaintances.
