I was contacted on LinkedIn by a hiring manager from CGI and asked if I would like to learn more about the opportunity, I accepted. We had a phone interview to get to know me a little bit and to talk about CGI and what they have to offer. This was really basic and the typical "are you a good fit" kind of interview. I was then booked for an in person interview at our local office (Fredericton, NB). For the in person interview I met with the Director of Consulting, he was incredibly open and approachable. All around a really great interview process, didn't try to trip me up on questions and was understanding about my lack of experience. He told me if I had any questions to email him after the interview which I took advantage of and received the most thorough response to an email I've ever gotten in my life. Overall the interactions that I had with the few people who I met at CGI were all very pleasant. They seem like a really great bunch of people and it seems like a great place to work. The interview process wasn't difficult, but I accept that I didn't do well in it as I was incredibly nervous but in retrospect, this isn't a difficult interview. Just breathe, be confident in your experience, and don't wait for them to try to trip you up, because they won't!

They came to recruit us directly from college, maybe one month before graduation, so we did not have much work experience to speak of apart from the mandatory 6-months internship that we had to complete. As such, the interview was oriented to who we were as a person: values, interests, motivations to work there. All of that was completed through open-ended questions in a relaxed manner. There were two people present: the supervisor of the whole Microsoft technologies division of the office and a team-lead who was more proficient with the technical side of things.
