There were two different interview processes I went through. In my initial interview, I was asked a series of extremely thorough questions and in the end I was basically ensured I got the job. My second interview was very strange - they were asking me a lot of random questions like “if you had a sound track to your life what would it be” and questions about super heroes and super powers. Definitely not a serious interview or anything like my first one. I can fully prepared and left feeling so confused. After two weeks of little to no communication from the recruiter that initially interviewed me, I then found out they had a “hiring freeze” for that role. From my first interview, I was told verbatim that the job was mine - I had all but quit the job I was currently at because I was led to believe I was hired. The whole process was very strange and turned me off from the company. I was lucky to be able to keep the job I was previously at - god forbid I fully quit based on an empty promise. My advice is to be careful, even if your initial interview seems to go amazing, internal issues may cause the job to fall through. Don’t get your hopes up until it’s a sure thing.
