I was only up to stage 4 and from a non-finance background. 1) What made you interested in banking industry as you're from a non-finance background. 2) Why are you choosing TCB instead of TCB digital when the later is more relevant to your course. 3) Which area are you most interested in and what you know about it. They expect you to have an intermediate knowledge in banking, and have prior experience in banking. Their two core values are Enabling Talent and Passion but I find it disheartening that they expect us to be on the same par as finance students when we were just out of college trying to figure out our dreams. They also said that 9-5 working hours are basically non-existent and higher-ups can request for job to be done at the very last minute. While other countries are implementing 4 working days a week, it is a disappointment that a GLC company, second largest bank in Malaysia is still tolerating this kind of work culture. In the 1-2 interview session, one person was nice, he/she provided constructive feedback. However I found the other person borderline harsh, reason was to give an insight on what the corporate life is like. I hope recruiters of any company realises that as much they have a first impression on us during the interview, we also have our first impression on the company during the session.
