I had an interview, went very well and was told I would receive an offer. I was also told that my salary ask was higher than what they wanted to offer (I was asking market value for my years of experience). I then get the offer directly from the hiring manager-not HR. Not included is the benefits and it was substantially below my ask. I then counter and copy the HR person I had initially spoken with. I do all this within a week with a weekend in between. The hiring manager TEXTED me a day and half after I had received the offer asking when I was going to respond! After I sent the counter I again got an email from the manager asking to talk. I replied I was happy to discuss any counters after I received them in writing. I’ver heard nothing since. They’ve ghosted me! I’ve never had a company act so unprofessionally! They wrote all kinds of things in the contract like how they could change my hours “at will”, force me to work weekends and evenings, and not pay me for any of it-something that was NEVER discussed in the interview. I don’t know if they thought I wouldn’t catch this or what? Don’t work for them-they want to underpay you and be shady about how you work.

They asked about my career and academical background, to describe myself, if I would like to live in Trondheim, why did I like to work in the company, and my future plans.
