1st - Screening round by the technical recruiter
2nd - Telephonic round where 2 members of the team were there
3rd - 2 rounds of in-person interview
There was no question that I could not answer. Many questions were vague. such as - do you prefer working in a team or alone? When I said team work is good, I was told that cant you take sole ownership. When I tried to explain the difference between ownership and working alone, I was told team feedback is needed.
I was asked technical questions, all of which i could answer. The manager did try to argue with me on my technical responses but I maintained my stand. In fact the other interviewer told the manager that I was right.
Then they started asking SQL questions. SQL is not my forte and wasn't a mandatory skillset for that role. I managed to answer 60% of the SQL questions.
I was rejected. This experience clearly indicates that they already made up their mind to reject me.. It was biased.
