There are 100 prisoners, each numbered from 1 to 100, and they are faced with a puzzle that can save them all from execution. In a room, there are 100 boxes, each containing a random prisoner’s number from 1 to 100. The boxes are randomly shuffled so no one knows which number is in which box.
One by one, each prisoner will enter the room and can open up to 50 boxes in search of their own number. They must find their own number to survive. After each prisoner’s turn, the boxes are closed again exactly as they were, and the next prisoner enters.
The prisoners are allowed to plan a strategy together before anyone enters the room, but once the process begins, there is no further communication. If all 100 prisoners find their own number, they all survive. If even one prisoner fails, they all die.
What strategy should they use to maximize their chances of survival?

Entrevista
I came across a job posting for a junior Design Engineer position online. I applied to it, and got an email a couple weeks later from the Design Engineering Director requesting a phone interview. The phone interview was non-technical and lasted between half an hour to an hour. At the end of the phone interview, the director invited me up to do an on-site interview (in Columbia, MD). The on-site interview was technical and lasted ~5 hours. The next day the director contacted me again and said they the team would be making me an offer.
