While I understand not every candidate can make it through the final rounds, after the effort and time invested, interviewing with various team members over the course of a few weeks, the considerate/professional thing to do would have been to show a basic level of decency by personally emailing the candidate instead of informing them with some generic no-reply decline email like I did. It makes sense they have cycled through many Executive Assistants over the years.
