Candidatei-me pessoalmente. O processo levou 1 dia. Fiz uma entrevista na empresa Calgary Catholic School District.
Entrevista
I received a call to interview less than a week after I applied, asking me to come in with less than 24 hours notice (a take it or leave it scenario). No option for video call (severe weather conditions, pandemic). Standard in person, outdated practices for the interview itself. I was told they would have a decision by the next week, didn't hear from them again. Key takeaways:
A timed test was given after the in person interview. The test is standard practice however every other institution with similar positions emails them prior to scheduling an in person. If the answers don't reflect what you're looking for everyone moves on with minimal time investment. Offer the initial video calls in adverse weather, virus surges and last-minute scheduling's. It's easier (and safer) for everyone, serious contenders can come in afterwards for the next step. Stop looking for people to bring a physical copy of their resume, it's not a thing anymore. Candidates who don't know their work history or achievements have bigger issues at play. And finally, show consideration to those that went through your interview process. It takes a literal minute to send an email to an applicant to let them know they weren't a fit for the position, brings a positive close to the experience - not doing so is perceived that your time is worth more. It's not, why I'm rating this as a negative experience.
