I applied on Caltrans website and made sure to submit a cover letter, my resume and my diploma. About 2 months later I was invited to a virtual interview. There were about four to five people on the panel from different divisions. Everyone was kind and they didn’t make me feel uncomfortable with my answers. A month later, I received a phone call from the hiring manager from the job listing I applied. He congratulated me and asked me if I was still interested in the job position, I said yes so he said HR will email me a conditional job offer. He also told me the hiring process usually takes about 3-5 months.

I follow Caltrans safety protocols, including site-specific safety plans and traffic control standards outlined in the MUTCD. I coordinate with local agencies for encroachment permits and public notifications. I also ensure contractor compliance with Caltrans construction standards and verify QA/QC during inspections.
