applied over 2 months ago, so it was a shock receiving a call from someone in HR about scheduling the interview. Although I do have some work experience, this was for an entry level role. I was told to make sure I take the exam for the ITA role (this is a generic IT exam that covers programming, IT support, etc.). When the actual interview happened, it was a panel of 3 members and I was given 15 minutes to look at the questions being asked and to prepare. Admittedly, there were some topics I had no work experience with, but had some slight knowledge from when I was a student. Overall, the panel was very friendly and personable. I mentioned a few of the key factors I was looking for in my next role and it seemed to be a great fit (based off of how the panelists had described their time so far). I felt as though I had given a good impression as a panelist mentioned that I was asking great questions. haven't heard back, but I believe working within the public sector is very rewarding. There are pros and cons about the public sector vs the private sector, so it's not for everyone. However, I would love to be in the interview process again down the road as the public sector fits what I am looking for currently at this point in my life.
