3 stages initially - call with the CTO, technical assessment including take home test and then come back for a review and some technical questions plus system designing kind of round and then final interview with the CTO (face to face) Then the company went silent and I found out that I was not selected. However after couple of weeks I was called by the recruiter that the person they selected has rejected the offer and they want to offer you the role. They arranged for two more short interviews with the CTO and CEO and then they offered me the role. I had the unfortunate experience of accepting an offer from Camascope, only for them to pull it at the last minute—just two days before my notice period at my current job was about to end. This left me in an incredibly difficult situation where I was effectively unemployed with no role to go to. What made this even worse was that Camascope was fully aware of my personal circumstances, including the fact that I have a severely disabled child and a terminally ill partner. Despite this, they showed absolutely no empathy or professionalism. They didn’t even have the decency to inform me directly—I only found out through the recruiter. Even after reaching out to them for clarification, I received no response whatsoever. This unethical and careless behavior was especially devastating as it happened just before the Christmas period. It took me over three months to secure another job, draining all of my savings and forcing me to rely on credit cards just to stay afloat. No one should have to go through this kind of financial and emotional turmoil because of a company’s lack of integrity. Companies like Camascope should be held accountable for their actions. I sincerely hope that laws are put in place to prevent such reckless and inconsiderate behavior in the future. If you value professionalism, honesty, and basic human decency, I strongly advise you to think twice before trusting this company with your career.
