The whole selection process dragged on for almost 2 months. I had to do 2 practical tests and go through 4 rounds of interviews. They made me go through a whole day of interviews with different folks from the company and it was seriously exhausting. After surviving that interview marathon, they left me hanging for a solid 2 weeks with no word from their end. I started to think they forgot about me altogether. Just when I was about to give up, they finally came back with good news: I got the job! They sent over the contract, and I was all hyped up to dive in. But then, out of nowhere, only 2 days later, they hit me with a bombshell – they were scrapping the contract and the job altogether. The excuse: They're merging with another company and for this they're canceling all the new openings. Why they just don't let me know about this? It's just wrong! The lack of communication is huge. I'm pretty ticked off by how they handled it. It's just plain disrespectful, and honestly, it's left me feeling pretty offended.
