The initial outreach from the external recruiter was professional and the role seemed like a strong fit for my background. However, the experience shifted significantly during the first interview with the internal company representative.
The Interview:
Despite making significant personal scheduling adjustments to accommodate the team’s time zone, the interview lasted less than 20 minutes. I found the interviewer’s demeanor to be dismissive; standard questions regarding team structure, internal operations, and company culture were met with visible impatience and short, rebuttal-style answers rather than a constructive dialogue. The conversation was ended abruptly with a generic "we’ll get back to you" before the scheduled time was up.
