      Entrevista

      I was referred to the role by a former colleague. Recruiter from Canoo reached out, and phone screen was then scheduled the next day. I was initially impressed by this, and was very excited. Recruiter arranged an interview with the hiring manager for the position - another senior member within Canoo was also present during the interview. They each took turns asking me a series of technical questions, and did not stick to the agenda they originally described at the beginning of the interview. As you might have guessed by reading this already, overall the interview was disorganized, as the interviewers were more focused on asking edge case questions rather than hearing about my overall experience in the space. To add to this, the interview went 25 minutes beyond the allotted time of 1 hour, and I was left with no time to ask questions. My interpretation of this experience was that the interviewers were so focused on trying to "find my boundaries" rather than actually learning about my experience. Not a good strategy in my personal opinion. Although diving into technical details such as performance based Python questions can certainly demonstrate experience, my recommendation to the interviewers would be to focus on asking more open-ended questions rather than trying to check a small box (assuming they even were checking boxes would be a compliment). Unsurprisingly after the interview I received no follow up and was ghosted - even after attempting to reach out the the interviewer myself directly. Waste of time and I regret entertaining the position, especially after seeing an overall bad sentiment about the company on Glassdoor.
