Candidatei-me online. O processo levou 3 semanas. Fui entrevistado pela Canva (Brisbane) em jan. de 2024
Entrevista
I had an initial HR interview which went very well, and then a technical interview too. Then followed a whole morning with 4 interviews, which was honestly exhausting, and during the 2 code sessions, I felt real pressure. I had a big problem during one of them: one of the examiners (the one conducting the interview) had a very pronounced Asian accent, so much so that I understood 50% of what he was saying to me... it threw me off balance enormously. As for the rest of the interviews that morning, they went quite well. I had to wait more than 2 weeks for feedback from Tobi (HR), which I don't think was right. When I pointed out that the last phase of the interview was putting a lot of pressure on me, he told me that was the point. I think it's a shame to have this kind of recruitment philosophy, and it doesn't make me want to work under these conditions. And I especially wish I'd known about it beforehand, to avoid going through the whole process. I would have known from the start that this wasn't what I was looking for in a company.

Fill in missing functions in code (3 interviews), a discussion interview based on cases that may occur in a company (success stories, dealing with difficulties, etc.), and a technical discussion interview based on a business problem.
First they start with phone screening. Shortly after this, they will invite you to do an AI assisted interview. After passing this, they will invite you to their final interview which consists of 3 sub interviews: Coding, ML Design and Behavioural.

They asked to optimise a recommendation ML based problem for the AI assisted interview
My interaction with one of the recruiters was disappointing. When I mentioned I use VS Code as my code editor, the HR person smirked, which felt condescending. Later, they asked, “Do you even have a job now?” — an unnecessarily rude and unprofessional question. The experience gave the impression that not all members of the HR team uphold the respectful and inclusive culture Canva is known for.
One person with strange accent. I understand 5% of what he’s saying. Another person is the best interviewer I’ve had so far. Very encouraging. Another person is very pushing and condescending.
