Unprofessional. Questions unrelated to post. Felt like a phycological analysis at times. A lot of gloating - interviewer seemed preoccupied with delusions of grandiose - a questionable character at best. Overall very uncomfortable experience.

I interviewed for a designer role. The interview was with the managing director and was more of a sales pitch - 90% of the interview wasn't about me. The questions had nothing to do with my work - they were all of a personal nature eg. what were you like in school, I bet you were really popular? The MD held what felt like an unnatural amount of eye contact - I'm unsure if it was intended to be intimidating or seductive - but it was certainly excessive and unnerving. During the interview he spoke about the other members of staff, revealing their personal backgrounds and openly stating they were not his or my sort of people but they did the job. Upon meeting the team I quickly realised they were exactly my type of people - authentic and talented - and for that reason alone I accepted the job. Fortunately, for my short time at this company, the MD was not present in the office and the other members of staff were friendly and helpful.
