The interview process was quite straightforward but ending up being unprofessional on their part. 7 minutes before my first round interview was set to start, they asked me to reschedule, claiming that the interviewer had something come up last minute. At this point, it only seemed slightly rude that they had given me such short notice, but I didn’t think too deeply about it. For the second round of interviews, I was told to present three qualified leads and then go through a mock cold call, introduce myself to a theoretical client, and ask the right discovery questions to then book a meeting for the client with one of the company’s account executives. 5 minutes before that interview was set to begin, they asked me to reschedule yet again, claiming that the interviewer was out sick. At this point, this process seemed quite unprofessional and disorganized. So I reschedule. I get to the interview, and I have a near-flawless mock cold call and presented three very qualified leads, with the only part of my pitch that I needed to change being the intro. This is an easy fix and is dependent on the industry. While my background is B2B SaaS, it’s not specifically in the payment processing industry, which is not a requirement for this role at all. I decided to withdraw my application because ultimately because this process has been quite the headache, and the sales leadership in this company strikes me as quite toxic. This isn’t a company I would ever want to work for.
