Vaughan, Canada | Got a call from recruiter for first round of interview. Super unprofessional, barely took efforts to explain the position & literally just read the JD from LinkedIn in one breath. She seemed super bored & uninterested from get go, didn’t bother asking specifics or anything. It almost seemed as if she had already made up her mind and chosen the candidate already and was doing interview just out of formality. I don’t mind that but if that’s the case don’t waste candidate’s time at least. And ofc if a recruiter is this uninterested, the customary “I will reach out next week with status update” doesn’t hold weight and never happened.

Interview was question orientated. Wanted to know a lot about your skill set and how you would handle multiple situations. Was not a fan of the overall interview, didn't feel like they got to know me on a personal level, basically just wanted to know my background. Definitely be well prepared.
