I am highly unimpressed with the interview process at CareerBuilder. I was an internal referral and my resume was passed along to the hiring manager. This individual reached out to me almost two months ago to set up an initial interview and said my resume was a perfect fit. Since then, she has cancelled on me three times and now has decided to tell me they won't be doing any hiring this year. This is extremely unprofessional, especially being that I was a referral from two of their current employees. I understand that CareerBuilder is going through some changes internally, especially with a recent buy out, but the number one rule in recruiting is to always be candid with your candidates and keep them informed, especially when they have taken away time from their job to talk with you. If this is how CareerBuilder treats their current employee referrals, I can't imagine how they treat you once your onboard. Glad to have dodged a bullet on this individuals team.
