In the end, one week before their fiscal year end, the company put the job on hold with no hiring of anyone they said due to budgets. Found concept from my marketing proposal a month later in my LinkedIn feed promoting the new product. Everyone at company seemed great. HR person was very apologetic. Seems like a good company with good people, I and other candidates just got caught in the middle of budgets.
