I was contacted outside of the usual automated system by a manager from another section due to having more experience with Tableau than the other position required (also Data Analyst II). Overall the first interview was informal, and salary was never discussed at any time though I tried to bring it up. They did mention that it is a very high stress position and that their teams, due to being short handed, usually worked much longer hours than a usual 8-hour day. 10pm meetings were briefly discussed, and one manager on the video call asked me some basic SQL related questions and I answered them all. I had a second interview with the Department Director who was nice, but also very straightforward about the fact they expect their employees to work more than 40 hours and be on very tight deadlines. The kicker is, I never heard back from anyone. I reached out by email for any feedback after 2 weeks had passed, since the Director had said that the hiring process takes a while but she would be contacting me about it within the next couple of weeks regardless of their decision... but no replies, from anyone.
