Applied in late January, and was contacted in early March by a Lead Community School Director-NY for a 30-minute phone interview. She called me from a school cafeteria so although there was a lot of background noise, I felt our conversation went well. She came across as a friendly candid person, and was apologetic about all the noise (which was really annoying to have during a job interview to be honest) around her during our call. I sent a thank you note right after we talked, and never received a reply. About 8 business days later I sent a follow up email asking if there were any updates on the hiring process for the role. It's been over a week since that and no reply to that either. This lack of communication is disappointing, especially after what felt like a positive conversation with this person. A quick note letting me know weather they moved forward with another candidate or the hiring process is moving very slowly would've shown consideration for my time and effort.
