I applied online in late October 2023. I received an email within a few days of applying from a recruiter to schedule a screen for later that week. The screen lasted about 15 minutes and the questions asked were pretty atypical questions you would hear on a screen, ex: salary requirements. About 20 minutes after the screen I received an email from the recruiter to schedule a Teams interview with the department manager, which eventually had to be scheduled two Mondays in advance because of some scheduling conflicts within the company. The first interview was largely behavioral, with a few technical questions regarding MS Excel. It lasted about 40 or so minutes and the manager made the interview very easygoing. At the end of the interview, the manager told me what to expect next such as an interview with the senior executive of the department, a few technical tests and to research some of the products the company sells online. I did not hear back until Saturday at 4:36 am from a different recruiter to set up an interview with the senior executive of the department. Obviously that was scheduled for whatever reason to be sent at 4:36 am on a Saturday and the recruiter attached my resume with the wrong name addressed. It seemed like they were trying their hardest for that email to show up in my spam inbox. I should have taken that as a hint, because the second interview (on MS Teams as well) was a complete waste of time, easily the worst interview I have had especially at a corporate level that was out of my control. The senior executive was painfully not interested in me and was clearly unprepared for the interview. The senior executive asked me questions that they could easily think of on the fly like “Why do you want to work here?” and questions that could be asked based on my resume “How did you learn Python?” when the prior interview I was told they do not use Python at all and had 0 follow up to any of my answers. I think they said less than 100 words for the entire interview. It maybe lasted 10 minutes. I received a rejection email later that week, saying they were moving on with different candidates. Normally I do not leave reviews for interviews but seeing that this job has been reposted three times since they rejected me and they did not fully consider me for a seemingly entry-level position, I think people deserve to see their rather less-than-ideal interview process.
