Fiz uma entrevista na empresa Certified Laboratories.
Entrevista
First there was a phone screening, followed by an in-person interview with the manager . I was asked about instrumentation experience. Then, I was given tour around the facilities. The supervisor was not on-site the day of my interview, so we spoke via phone call. It was heavily implied I would get an offer, which I did by the next day.

The interview process was an open interview and you could select a date.
I first met as a group with HR and she went over all of our resumes. She said she was conducting the interview since the supervisor was in a meeting. At the end, I was the only one who proved to have the required skill set and, miraculously, the GC supervisor was suddenly available and could interview me (I think this was just a way of weeding out the people who were incompetent).
The GC supervisor was very nice and asked a lot of specific questions related to my resume, followed by questions about the instrument itself, then trouble shooting questions when running the instrument.
It’s honestly the best interviewer experience I had since I felt he was prepared to ask a lot of questions with intent (other experiences it seems like interviewers don’t care and think of questions on the fly).
I waited two weeks and got a call from HR I would be meeting with the lab director.
I met with the lab director who recently started. He was also a really nice guy. His questions were more about personality and finding a fit.
Overall, the interview process was fine in the sense that the GC supervisor and lab director were approachable (HR was so/so).
But you do really have to have an understanding of the GC, in and out. I think I demonstrated that. Based off comments from the lab manager, he seemed to like me. Overall, I think someone with more experience was hired, but I don’t believe I was a bad candidate for the role.
Study up on your GC knowledge before the interview.

From start to finish, can you tell me about your processing of a sample on GC at your previous role?

The interview process was disorganized and unprofessional. The initial virtual interview felt more like an interrogation than a conversation, with the interviewer coming off as dismissive and unclear about the role—leaving me confused about the actual job duties. Despite my qualifications, including a relevant certification, I felt my experience was minimized. It then took days to coordinate a second, in-person interview (which went much better thanks to the microbiology manager). After that, I was left in the dark. Follow-up emails were mostly ignored, and communication was sparse and delayed. Nearly two weeks later, I finally received a vague update about delays in the process. By then, I had already accepted another offer. Altogether, the experience showed a serious lack of professionalism and respect for candidates' time.
