Messy. HR rep reached out to me via LinkedIn. Initial phone screening followed. Then an in-person interview is scheduled w/HR in LIC. At the same time, the assistant to the C-level exec reaches out asking me to go to Manhattan for an interview and to disregard the HR rep (literally said to "disregard" the HR rep). HR rep then calls me upset I didn't see her. Clearly no one told her I wouldn't be going there. No communication internally. I didn't bother going to the main office.
