It was quite a relatively fast process. 3 weeks after I sent my application, I had a 45 minute teams call with a scientist discussing potential routes of functionalisation of a molecules, suggesting reagents/conditions or problems that could arise. I was invited to an onsite interview (they do not offer travel costs reimbursements). 3 part stage interview. 30 minute presentation + 10 mins Q&A. Technical test, involving analysing NMR/MS spectra and a retrosynthesis Q. Quite demanding, had to think outside the box. But I enjoyed it. Then a HR interview. I was told that I excelled at the presentation and technical test, but I did not meet their expectations during the HR interview. Whatever that means, quite disappointed with the outcome.
