Candidatei-me online. Fiz uma entrevista na empresa Chenega Corporation.
Entrevista
I initially had a phone screen with the recruiter, which went well, after which point I made it to the next round. This involved attending a video call with cameras on. The two individuals I interviewed with went straight to the point - no pleasantries - which I found odd but initially thought little of. The questions I was asked had nearly nothing to do with my background (and which the recruiter must have known prior to sending me to this next round), so I felt as though at no point did I have time to truly prove my potential or showcase my strengths. I was asked if I had financial/budgeting experience, to which I responded that I did not. I was not at any point asked to talk about my past experience. One of the interviewers cherry picked one of my roles that had 'manager' in the title and asked me to talk about it. It was clear at this point that they were looking for someone to take on a manager role, although the position was advertised as a 'technical writer'. Not sure how being a financial analyst/project manager fall under technical writing. Towards the end of the call, I was interrupted mid-sentence by one of the interviewers to ask if I 'had any other questions'. We were not yet out of time and I found this to be wholly rude and unprofessional. I found the entire interview to be uncomfortable and clearly not in line with my experience. Despite the misalignment with my background, it still could have been a better experience had the interviewers possessed more humanity and professionalism. Disappointed with Chenega and their hiring process.
