First of all, the HR and hiring manager were nice and polite, so big brownie points. However, the interview process was extensive and labor-intensive. I think you should be prepared to invest quite a bit of time and effort into the application with a 50/50 chance of no offer.
I applied online, started with an assessment test (required 1-2 hours), then 2 interviews with HR and hiring manager (roughly an hour each), and another assessment (required up to 4 hours), and that's as far as I go, where I perhaps spent over 8 hours in the process. The HR also mentioned there could be 1-2 more rounds if I'd passed the second assessment...seems quite insane for a position at my level. (non-managerial).The field standard in our profession probably involved 1-2 interviews (sometimes a panel interview, or 1-2 rounds brief interviews, aka 45mins or less, on the same day) and perhaps one assignment/presentation/writing test.
