This interview process, like many others, involves asking people in their late 30s and 40s about their high school experiences to determine their job suitability. I find this approach very odd. People have diverse backgrounds and are much more than their high school experiences, especially if those were 20 years ago. Gauging someone's capability based on high school activities isn't realistic. Whether I joined a club in high school shouldn't determine my ability as an adult to manage, communicate, and run a team effectively. This mindset and system will result in missing out on many talented individuals, including myself.
