Initial screening call from HR representative, then full interview with CNI team (3 people in mine), and then "meet and greet" with federal government department team. After that, there is a long (6-8 weeks) federal background check process before employment can begin.

Beyond the "tell us about yourself and why you are interested in this role," they focused on my transferrable skills mostly because I didn't have specific experience in the field. They wanted to know how heavy of a caseload I was used to handling, how my interpersonal skills were, and where my experience lended me preparation for the role.

I have applied to multiple instances of jobs posted by Chickasaw Nation Industries. For my first application of Law Clerk, I was informed that I would need Olmstead experience which is extremely niche and it is highly unlikely a recent law school graduate would have. This was NOT listed in the job advertisement. The interview was a panel and was decent and I believed I had a decent chance at the job. I was emailed that I did not possess enough Olmstead experience and was not offered the position.
This was disappointing but to be expected as CNI does contract work so the final say is not with the hiring managers evidently. I applied for another Law Clerk position, in multiple locations, involving HIPAA. Nowhere in the experience needed did it state that I Needed HIPAA experience; again, I was only informed of this by phone by the recruiter. I went through the interview with a single interviewer where I was told that "I do not need to be an expert in HIPAA". The interview went well and I thought I might actually have a shot. Then I was informed the location of the job had changed and then told that I did not have enough HIPAA experience.
My experience with the recruiting side of this company has permanently put me off of it. I am capable of learning and these roles were for 3 year contracts, which would afford me plenty of time to learn. I wanted deeply to work for an indigenous owned corporation but was let down at every turn, despite having the educational requirements. I would not recommend this company to anyone else as, at the time of this review, it would seem that they are simply posting jobs without any intention of filling them as I was informed the Olmstead Law Clerk position was never filled and I suspect the HIPAA one will go unfilled as well.

Interview was a virtual meeting with 3 managers, only one of whom asked questions & explained the duties/qualifications of the position. The manager opened with explaining the job duties & the security clearance process & then asked a few questions about my experience & how it aligns with the job.
