I had several interviews since this was the company who was going to buy Hidden Valley and keep it going. I had been led to believe that they wanted me to transition to their company and interviews went very well until the last one with one of the owners. He told me that what I had been doing (military) was not going to be a part of their company and that if they offered me a position it would be for $5K less per year. Unfortunately, due to all the stress and anxiety I was dealing with about being unemployed for the first time in over 20 years, I became emotional and was unable to reign it in.
