I recently had a rather frustrating experience interviewing with CircleCI that left me feeling discouraged and undervalued as a candidate. My initial interaction with the company was kicked off with an example of unprofessionalism. After scheduling a phone interview with a recruiter, they completely no-showed, leaving me waiting with no heads up. This not only wasted my time but also gave a poor first impression of the company's commitment to potential employees. But the ordeal didn't end there. Afterward, the hiring manager finally reached out to me, apologizing for the recruiter's absence and explaining that they were no longer with the company. I was assured that a new recruiter would contact me to reschedule the interview process. While I appreciated the gesture, it raised concerns about the company's internal communication and organization. When the new recruiter finally did reach out, it was not to reschedule the interview but to inform me that the position I had initially applied for at CircleCI had been inexplicably closed, and they were no longer hiring for that role. This turn of events left me feeling misled and frustrated, as I had invested time and effort in my application and preparation for the interview. This unfortunate experience has left me with serious reservations about pursuing opportunities with CircleCI in the future.
