Candidatei-me online. O processo levou 4 semanas. Fiz uma entrevista na empresa City Harvest (New York, NY).

HR team was not very responsive, but it was a pretty quick turnaround. They were shuffling in lots of candidates for the same position day of, and I took a computer test next to someone who was applying for the same position. Overall, questions were not challenging, but that's also a given for this type of position.

Asked about my work experience, why I wanted to work at City Harvest, etc. NOthing too challenging.

Had a phone screening, average but interviewer seemed uninterested and bored with me. Was ghosted and later figured out they left the organization shortly after so it seems they’re extremely disorganized and don’t care for candidates’ time

Screener and interview both went well but then they ghosted completely! No response from in-house recruiter or manager for the position after multiple rounds of back-and-forth + then three follow-ups on my end. No big deal to not get the job, but they explicitly said that feedback is an integral part of their interview process for all candidates they meet. It’s literally the recruiter’s job to follow up! They were also overzealous with phrases like “I wouldn’t be worried if I were you!” and “your resume is exactly what we had in mind” which obviously got my hopes up and in retrospect was professionally inappropriate. And they didn’t have good answers to my questions about diversity + accessibility — lots of “we were going to” and “we’ve been thinking about” but nothing concrete. I’m wary of the big NPO world in general and City Harvest seemed particularly disorganized.

"Elaborate on x from your resume" — twice, about two separate things — was the only question they asked me. Lots of talk about themselves
