O processo levou 5 semanas. Fui entrevistado pela City Year (New York, NY) em mar. de 2009
Entrevista
When applying I had chosen NY as my specific site. I also applied from abroad and CY was very accommodating when it came to setting up interview times that worked with my schedule/the time difference. After submitting the application I had an initial phone interview and then was informed by email that I was chosen for a selection interview. I think City Year prefers to do this interview in person but they will do it over the phone if you cannot come to their offices in Chelsea. The person with whom I did my interview was really personable and friendly and it was a very comfortable interview. Standard questions but definitely emphasize your desire to work with underserved youth and passion for education. Also, make it clear that you are looking for opportunities for leadership development. City Year loves to create new leaders/bring people to their full potential.

They have a program called Camp City Year which corps members plan and implement and they asked how I could enhance that program.

Very simple. Quick virtual interview and pretty simple questions. Research their values and what not and you should be good to go. As far as I remember it was a single interview and decision is relatively soon after that.
Really friendly and welcoming. Try to make it as comfortable as possible and share about the work they do. They want to ensure applicants are making the right decisions and that they assess the values.

Done over zoom and not an overly long process interviews are usually conducted by the IM for a school in the city you are applying for but if you have a pulse you should be fine
