      Entrevista

      I submitted an online application on 08/21/2020. I received regular updates from HR, including when my application was being reviewed by HR and then when it was routed to the hiring manager. I received an email invitation to interview. I scheduled the interview online. I received the list of interview questions the morning of the interview on 09/03/2020. The interview was conducted via MS Teams and was a panel of three, comprised of women. Each of the ladies on the panel appeared to be young, progressive in thinking, and very interested in the conversation. It was great that I had a chance to review the questions and formulate some answers. The interview felt like back and forth conversation and even an exchange of information rather than a typical interview, which I enjoyed. I received an email of rejection on 09/11/2020.

      Please describe your records management experience, particularly any experience with public records requests.  Can you tell us about your experience with complying with Washington State retention guidelines, particularly any experience setting up a system to comply with them? Please describe how you organize your work and how you track multiple priorities and projects. What do you do if you won’t meet your deadline on a project?   We are looking for someone who can be our subject matter expert and is comfortable teaching others about proper records management. Have you ever had the opportunity to be a subject matter expert and inform decision-makers about records management best practices?    Tell us about a time when you were innovative and improved the way a process worked. How did you do it and what was the result?   Tell us about a situation where you felt like communication was an issue.  How did you choose to solve the issue?   In your opinion, what is or would be most rewarding about working in local government?  The candidates we are interviewing all have skills that align with the duties of this position. With that in mind, tell us what sets you apart.
