Candidatei-me online. Fui entrevistado pela Citymapper (Londres, Inglaterra) em jul. de 2024
Entrevista
The interview process is in 5 steps:
1 - Remote interview with senior member of their Engineering team.
2- Remote interview with their Head of People (EMEA).
3 - Visit to their London office, interview with 4 members of their UK team for 45 minutes each. With 2 whiteboard interviews.
4 - Final interview is a remote call with their Chief R & D Officer.
5 - Call to references & background check then Offer.
I managed to pass all of them before being too light on the technical side (it was my first whiteboard, I think I was under-prepared on the insight.) compared to another interviewee. Which is fair.
I visited Glassdoor before going into the process, at first I was taken aback from the number of negative experiences and I almost refused (I'm very glad I didn't).
The teams at Citymapper/ Via were extremely human and welcoming.
The tech team was very helpful and gave me good feedbacks and points to work on for my next whiteboard. :)
Overall, it's a very long process which required a trip to London. Despite that, it was probably THE best process I had in weeks!
I'm really happy that I got so far and also received so many positive and helpful feedback on my presentation and system design skills.
I didn't get the role but I got to connect with talented peers, for that I'm grateful.
Thanks for making the process so nice!

Case Study - CMI 2.0
In April, 2020 we launched the Citymapper Mobility Index (CMI),
So, we've decided that as part of our 2021 plans, we're going to launch a "2.0" version of CMI. If there's this much interest in the current version, what if we doubled down on it? What if we asked more questions from our data and captured new insights? There's a lot we can do here! And if we do so successfully, increasingly, we can make huge waves in being the leading advocate / brand when it comes to the future of cities & public transit. The experts—the brand that's synonymous with cities and public transit even. Last time around, we basically just went live with the CMI data on our website, and the buzz picked up organically on its own. The question for you is: What should be our launch strategy? How do we get the world's media excited? How do we generate public interest? Think through campaigns, through social, through community and collaboration, and whatever else you think could be helpful. You can even suggest how to package and visualize differently. It's all on the table!
