      I went through most of the rounds, and was denied the offer because they wanted someone who already had knowledge of the product. Although I spent hours researching and reading the docs, and setting up a trial account, it wasn’t enough. I’m definitely disappointed in not getting the job, because I saw such huge potential for me to grow within that team, based off the skills that I have. I have experience in interviewing, I’ve been an interviewer before multiple times, and the best people we’ve hired have been the ones who have huge potential, not the ones who already know it all. As a company who says they are humble, I think there needs to be more transparency in the interview process and what’s expected. For the technical troubleshooting, the documentation said there isn’t an expectation that you know the answers to everything, they mainly want to see how you work through issues. And I did just that. I troubleshooted the issues and was able to figure it out as I go, but it wasn’t enough. So if you’re interviewing for this position you will need to be extra prepared, I thought I was, but you need to know the answers to every question. Also, if you don’t get this job just remember, rejection is redirection.

      The hiring process at Clay is clearly not respectful to the candidate and is not something I would go through again. It started with a recruiter call which is standard, with the usual surface level questions. This immediately led in to the take home assignment which is where this all goes wrong. They provide a 4 question take home assignment that has the usual suite of questions about support knowledge, the issue being they expect you to have this product knowledge from searching their help documentation alone, a lot of which is not very clear. The second question specifically asks the candidate to create a table using their platform with a clear set of requirements, but again, no instructions. This is fine and all, but requires the candidate to search through their multiple pages of videos, documentation, and a good amount of guessing to get it all set up. I was very confident I hit all of the requirements in this part as this was the most time intensive (about 3 hours) task. All of that to get a standard rejection email 2 days later. If you expect the candidates to take 4 hours of their time to complete a takehome assignment, the least you can do is provide feedback outside of just a standard rejection letter. Absolutely disrespectful of the candidate's time, and if this is how they treat potential employees, I wonder how they treat their actual employees who they have power over.

Is there one provider that is best to choose or should I just risk it and go for the waterfall?” “Please let me know how Clay credits are calculated.” Imagine the following scenario: I have a list of individuals’ LinkedIn profiles. I want to reach out to these people to eventually sell them the finance product my startup is building (we’re building a spending management platform that has corporate cards and other tools to assist businesses with their finances).
