Entrevista
Interview process went well for the most part. Had a great chat with a recruiter, then a HM and completed a take home test. The team supposedly were “impressed” and invited me to an interview. I made a few mistakes so was criticisied understandably, but I wasn’t sure why I was invited to the interview if they already had made the decision. Seemed a bit of a waste of time.
2 engineers interviewed, one mid level and one who seemed to act senior. The senior was flashing his insecurities non stop, and ended up making comments on things I should’ve done which were just wrong. A bit concerning that their senior engineers lack simple knowledge of what a button is.
I’d had a positive opinion on the culture and feel of the place, but this lack of professionalism and amateur-like comments in this interview was jaw dropping. Every time I’d try explain something this guy would cut me off too, like he wasn’t looking for an explanation at all.
Luckily they cancelled the next interview, but this latest stage felt like a total waste of time. Clearly the team lied about reviewing the code, or they just wanted to ridicule someone for the work they’d done. Either ways, a group of strange people. Avoid.
