4 rounds. From the get to they told me that with my experience (7 years) I don’t seem to be on staff level, but let’s see and we can always level down to Senior with this position. It already left a bad taste in my mouth and then they made sure to let me know that the salary (low/average senior) I’m asking for is not really viable, either. The HR person’s attitude was rude in some ways, not asking to add availability, rather telling me to with an hour deadline. They also didn’t take the time to give information about the compensation package at the screening interview even after me asking. After setting an interview for the last round, I got a call that they don’t do senior level for this role anymore so we have to separate ways and delete the interview event. It seemed a bit unprofessional, humiliating and a total waste of time.

It could not get any worse. I received a call from Clouder HR for a telephonic interview. The HR was on leave and nobody notified me regarding the rescheduling the interview. I called up HR and the response was "I am on leave but can take this call for 5 minutes which included introduction and technologies and projects I worked on. I was told I will receive a mail to schedule another call with technical panel (which I never did) and later I get an email mentioning I am no longer considered for this position". The experience left me frustrated without any genuine reason and having me doubt my own abilities since I was never rejected in introductory call. I would recommend not to apply for any position at Cloudera. Their HR are egoistic and not at all professional.
