I loved the interview process at CoStar because it was extremely informative and hands on. I started off by working with the Human Resources coordinator/recruiter who answered any initial questions and really eased my nerves. After that, I got to work with a fellow research associate and see the day in the life, but I also got to take part of a mock phone call where a script was provided and was responsible for meeting all bullet points on script. On top of that I got asked a couple questions regarding excel, and had a lot of questions answered by the research associate. After shadowing the research associate, I then was sent off to the manager for whom I assumed I would be working under. They explained the company and what the role would consist of really well. After seeing reviews, many said “phone call center.” They tell you upfront that you spend your whole day on the phone, and you will, as well as other duties as well. However, if that’s not something you’re willing to commit to, they are honest and upfront with you. It was nice. I had a lot of opportunities to ask questions and see the headquarters in Richmond. Beautiful views, seemed like a great work environment and culture from the start.

The interview process was relatively straightforward, with a phone screening interview followed by an on-site interview in Richmond, VA. The process as a whole only last a few weeks. Overall, the recruiter was easy to talk to and made the process relatively smooth, though the timelines felt a little rushed.
