Stacy H. was my interviewer and she killed any enthusiasm I had for Cohnreznick. She looked like she just woke up and miserable (cmon aren’t you one of the practice leaders?) to be there. Like if that was the vibe from the MD then I definitely did not want to continue as other firms put in the bare minimum effort like they want to be there. Like this is consulting, smile. Anyway, she spent half the interview grilling me on a couple months employment gap from 5 years ago during COVID. And then the next half doubting where I learned my accounting from despite coming from a National PA firm for 3+ years. Like if you’re gunna doubt, just ask me a technical question. At least read the resume.
