Candidatei-me online. Fiz uma entrevista na empresa Coin Metrics.
Entrevista
I recently had an introductory interview with Coin Metrics.
The focus of the conversation was to review my work history, including my experience in backend and blockchain engineering. We discussed the companies I’ve worked with, my responsibilities in those roles, and how they align with what Coin Metrics is building.

Can you tell me about your experience working with Kotlin? What kind of projects have you used it on?
Total scam company. Gave me bad vibes. Interviewer was deliberately late and berated me during the first round interview. Nothing too technical more of a behavioral interview to show how superior they were to me. Even though there was no right answer, everything I said was wrong.

The first interview was with HR in a positive atmosphere. The second interview was with an architect with a variety of database quiestions, core Java and creation of libraries in Java, system design, small exercise in code. I had detailed questions about troubleshooting in production, as I had such experience. In general, I had a good impression about technical interview.
Then I got an invitation to assessment and I was given the opportunity to ask questions. There were two tasks Kotlin/Java and SQL. The first included four subtasks, the second two subtasks. The tasks were allotted 7 days and clear criteria for the success of the interview, which is rarely heard from companies.
The answers to the questions remained unanswered for a couple of days until I contacted the technical interviewer directly via LinkedIn. He said that the communication process goes through HR, not LinkedIn and I suspect that the communication is not well organized. The questions via email to HR were delayed with answers. I asked for extra time. I was fully answered and extended. That made a good impression, except of communication problems.
The SQL problem in my opinion required attention, although it looked simply. It took complex queries to eliminate a variety of errors. Java problem in my opinion was difficult, especially its fourth subtask. I had to cover all solutions with a lot of tests, put in a library that was close to the production code and put it on GitHub/GitLab for a limited time.
The tasks have been fully completed and sent by me. There was no objection in my correspondence to the feedback, which I really needed to correct mistakes and understand the quality of my own preparation work. A few days later, there was an automatic decline with no explanation and no feedback.
Since there is no feedback, especially if there are clear criteria, the tasks are fully completed within the allotted time, I consider it as a way to solve the company’s tasks at the expense of the candidates.
This negative point has erased all positive and therefore I mark my review of the interview process as irresponsible and negative.
